The pay-tv market in Croatia is still dominated by IPTV, which accounted for about 52% of Internet connections at the end of last year.
In addition, with nearly 43.93 percent of TV households still watching terrestrial TV, it still has huge growth potential, according to HAKOM, the regulator.
In comparison, 29.49% chose reliable IPTV, 11.95% chose cable TV, 9.91% chose DTH and 4.72% chose paid DTT.
Hacombe also noted that the pay-tv market in Croatia continues to grow, with operators’ revenues in 2019 up 27 million kronor (3.55 million euros) from the previous year.
Meanwhile, a total of rs 2.7 billion was invested in the national electronic communications market, an increase of rs 200 million from the previous year.
