Bulsatcom, Bulgaria’s biggest pay-tv operator, will launch IPTV on March 5th.
The company began preparing the service last year with the creation of Bulgarian satellite corporation, responsible for the country’s first geostationary communications satellite.
The satellite, bulgarasat-1, was built by Space Systems/Loral (SSL) and is expected to launch in 2016.
Bulsatcom’s new IPTV service, the latest in its portfolio, will offer viewers more than 140 TV channels, 40 of them high-definition, in nine categories.
They will be able to subscribe to Fusion, a service that includes 25 high-definition channels and offers video on demand.
